Vicente Romero is a transportation planner and urban designer with an advanced degree and experience in active transportation and High-Speed Rail mobility, housing and urban redevelopment, and urban and regional economics. Vicente holds a bachelor's degree in Geography (2008) from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning (2014) from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a PhD in Territory, Infrastructures, and Environment (2015) from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. Vicente is a huge people-person and a big advocate of walking and biking the city. His interests are in active and public transportation, pedestrian environments, walkability, placemaking, sustainable development, and historic preservation. He enjoys crafting livable and exciting pedestrian and human-scale environments through design, as well as managing transportation through TDM strategies, which are the cornerstones of his career goals. He speaks Spanish, English, French, and Italian.
