Aleix was born in Barcelona in 1993. From 2011 to 2015, he was awarded an ESADE Talent scholarship to pursue a Bachelor Degree in Law from ESADE Law School, which he earned in 2015. In 2014, he completed an exchange program at the University of Pennsylvania Law School (Philadelphia, USA) as part of his law degree. During his stay in Philadelphia, he volunteered at the Pennsylvania Innocence Project (a NGO that seeks to exonerate people wrongfully convicted), the Child Advocacy Clinic, and the Transnational Legal Clinic of the University of Pennsylvania Law School. In 2016, Aleix was awarded an ESADE Professional Council scholarship to pursue a Joint Master’s Degree in Legal Practice and International Business Law at ESADE Law School, whose specialization module was completed at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies in London, a center founded by the Georgetown University Law Center. He undertook internships at Uría Menéndez (Barcelona, 2014), Clifford Chance (Barcelona and London, 2015), and clerked at the Examining Court No. 11 of Barcelona (2015). He currently works at Garrigues as an associate in the White-Collar Crime, Litigation, Investigations and Compliance department, delivers lectures in Criminal Law at ESADE Law School, and is pursuing a PhD in Corporate Criminal Law at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He speaks both English and French fluently.
