(aka Toni R. Juncosa)  Born in Barcelona in 1991. He is a researcher at ADHUC—Research Centre for Theory, Gender, and Sexuality. His research focuses on notions of identity in contemporary US literature through the prism of Queer theory and critical thought. In 2013 he graduates in Translation and Interpreting Studies at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He pursues his career as a literary translator and ESL teacher in the UK and Portugal. He studies at the universities of Kent, Lisbon, and Sussex, and in 2018 he goes back to Barcelona, where he is awarded an academic distinction for his MA in Construction and Representation of Cultural Identities with highest honours from Universitat de Barcelona. Between 2021 and 2022, he is a Visiting Student Researcher at the University of California at Berkeley. He is currently developing his PhD thesis, a literary and phenomenological study of the body in coexistence with HIV in the 21st century, based on the analysis of US elegiac verse.
