My main field is Constitutional Law and Comparative Constitutional Law. My writing focuses on courts, rights and constitutions. As four courts, I am interested in institutional design, judicial communication, and generally, judicial review - related issues. As for rights, I have focused on quality and non-discrimination, freedom of speech, multi-level rights protecrtion, proportionality analysis, procedural channels of rights protection. As for constitutions, I have written about Mexican patterns of constitutional change, and about Mexican and Latin American constitutionalism, viewed from a comparative perspective. Finally, I am increasingly involved in gender issues: sexual and reproductive rights, adjudication with gender.sensitivity, as well as "gender and constitutionalism approaches".
