Nace en Madrid en 1979. En 2002 obtiene el título de licenciada en Ciencia y Tecnología de Alimentos por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. En 2002 recibe una beca Erasmus, con la que realiza un proyecto de investigación sobre la estabilidad de licopeno como ingrediente funcional, en la Universidad Rheinisch-Friedrich-Wilhelm, en Bonn (Alemania). Actualmente realiza el doctorado en la Universidad de Karlsruhe y el Centro Federal de Investigación Alimentaria y Nutricional sobre la extracción de metabolitos secundarios a partir del hollejo de la uva. Paralelamente, coordina y trabaja en el proyecto sobre el efecto de altas presiones hidrostáticas en la modificación química de péptidos bioactivos. Domina los idiomas inglés, alemán y francés.
