Nace en Madrid en 1962. En 1985 finaliza su licenciatura en Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales por la Universitat de Barcelona (UB). En 1986 trabaja para el grupo Pirelli en Barcelona. En 1988 obtiene el grado de máster en Administración de Empresas por la Tulane University. Reanuda su actividad profesional en Bank of America incorporándose al Área de Mercado de Capitales y Corporate Finance, en Barcelona. En septiembre de 1997 se incorpora a la empresa de consultoría Analistas Financieros Internacionales (AFI), y es nombrado socio en enero de 2000. Desde 2002 trabaja en la Tesorería de "la Caixa" como director de Distribución.
