Bióloga- trabajando en proyecto de investigación de tigrillo (Leopardus tigrinus oncilla)., Falces
Postgraduate studies in United States, 2022
Born in Navarra (Spain) in 1992. She was always interested in science and particularly in studying wildlife. Following her interests, she studied biology at the Basque Country University (Spain) and a master's in zoology at the Complutense University (Spain). After working for different projects around the world studying species like lizards in the Pyrenees, desmans in Portugal or caracals in South Africa she decided to embark herself in a PhD position to be able to answer different questions about wildlife, specifically about wildcats. She has chosen oncilla (Leopardus tigrinus oncilla) as the study species since there is very little information about them, so there are a lot of questions to answer. She is specially interested in movement ecology, so she is fitting oncillas with GPS collars which will help her to understand oncilla's habitat selection and the impact that roads may have in oncillas. This information will be really useful for oncilla's conservation.
