Nace en Barcelona en 1961. Es doctor ingeniero en Caminos, Canales y Puertos, máster en Planificación MDesS por la Harvard University (1994). Coordinator técnico del Plan territorial metropolitano de Barcelona (1991-1993). Es socio director de MCRIT SL, empresa consultora en planificación estratégica y sistemas de apoyo a la planificación que trabaja tanto para instituciones nacionales como internacionales. Regularmente participa como profesor invitado en diferentes programas posgraduados de universidades catalanas y europeas. Recientemente ha publicado el libro "Catalunya cap al 2020: visions sobre el futur del territori", por encargo del Departamento de la Presidencia del Gobierno de Cataluña.
