Antonio Moya-Latorres es un músico y arquitecto valenciano dedicado al urbanismo. Gracias a la beca de la Caixa, estudió el Máster en Planificación Urbana en el Instituto Tecnológico de Massachusetts. Actualmente es estudiante de doctorado en la misma disciplina en la Universidad de Cornell. Como arquitecto, Antonio ha trabajado en varios proyectos de planificación urbana y comunitaria en barrios desfavorecidos en México, Colombia y Brasil. Como músico, ofrece regularmente recitales, colabora con organizaciones culturales en España, México y Estados Unidos y contribuye con improvisaciones musicales en diferentes eventos de transformación social. Antonio explora cómo un enfoque cultural hacia la planificación urbana y comunitaria puede desembocar en sistemas sociales más justos. Su trabajo se puede seguir en www.amaseme.net

The cities of the future
If the UN is correct, in 2050, city dwellers will account for 70% of the world population. As such, the secret to success in creating a sustainable world mainly lies in the large urban centres. We need to rethink cities and promote grass-roots level change, bringing together urban planning tools and architectural improvements. We discussed all of this with 20 ”la Caixa” Foundation fellows working in the sector and reflected on the “Cities of the Future”.
