Nace en Madrid en 1971. En 1995 obtiene el título de licenciada de Medicina y Cirugía por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), especialidad en Medicina Interna vía MIR (1996-2001, Fundación Jiménez Díaz, Madrid), con rotaciones curriculares, incluyendo organización y supervisión del equipo de guardia en el Servicio de Urgencias del Hospital. Seis cursos de doctorado en la UAM (dos matrículas de honor en Osteoporosis, Alteraciones del Metabolismo del Calcio, y Agua, Electrolitos y Ácido Base"). Colabora en diversas publicaciones sobre insuficiencia cardiorrespiratoria, neumonía y carcinoma renal. Desde el año 2001 trabaja como médico adjunto de Medicina Interna de Urgencias en la Clínica Moncloa, Hospital Militar Gómez Ulla, Hospital de La Princesa y Hospital La Zarzuela de Madrid. Es máster en Salud Internacional y Medicina Tropical por la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2002-2003). Domina el inglés, el alemán y el francés.
