Nace en Zaragoza en 1971. En 1992 obtiene el título de licenciada en Ciencias Económicas y Empresariales por la Universitat de Barcelona tras haber realizado dos cursos en la University of Southampton (Reino Unido), uno de ellos, como becaria Erasmus. En octubre de 1995 inicia un máster en Estudios de Desarrollo, especialización de Medio Ambiente, en la London School of Economics and Political Science de la University of London.
