Carmen JIMÉNEZ FERNÁNDEZ

Born in Sevilla, Spain, Carmen started her professional career there after she graduated college, producing shorts and developing audiovisual content. Carmen moved to Madrid to work at Sogepaq doing international sales of Spanish films. At the same time she was independently producing short films with upcoming filmmakers. Awarded with a scholarship by laCaixa, she moved to NY in 2008 to pursue an M.F.A. in Film Writing and Directing at Columbia University.Carmen currently teaches Film Writing and Directing at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Guadalajara, Mexico. Prior to that, Carmen taught Screenwriting at Columbia University and worked as a video producer at EdLab in New York.
