Nace en Madrid en 1974. En 1997 obtiene el título de licenciado en Física Teórica por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Durante el curso 1997-98 realiza los cursos de doctorado sobre Supercuerdas y Supersimetría. En 1998-99 disfruta de una beca del Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores para realizar investigación sobre gravedad cuántica y teoría cuántica de campos topológica en Finlandia. En el curso 1999 se incorpora a la State University of New York at Stony Brook para llevar a cabo un doctorado en Física Teórica. Conoce los idiomas inglés, francés, alemán, finlandés, noruego y ruso.
