Ester Calvo Fernández

Ester earned her Pharmacy degree at the University of Barcelona in 2017. After that, she moved to Ann Arbor, MI, to work as a St. Baldrick's research fellow at the University of Michigan. Two years later, Ester joined Columbia University as a PhD student in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine, where she is studying precision oncology therapies for patients with brain tumors by bridging clinical genetics, functional genomics, computational biology and neuropathology. Ester hopes that her research within such an interdisciplinary and innovative field will help move toward better individualized and effective approaches for glioma therapies.
