Nace en Vilanova i la Geltrú en 1960. Es licenciada en Filosofía y Ciencias de la Educación, especialidad de Filosofía, por la Universitat de Barcelona, y doctora y máster en Teoría Social y Política por la University of Cambridge. Obtiene una beca del King's College (Cambridge) para realizar el doctorado, que consigue en 1993 con la tesis "Nationalism in Stateless Nations: the case of Catalonia". Ha sido profesora visitante en la London School of Economics, UQAM (Montreal), UAB, Edinburgh (Reino Unido), Tampere (Finlandia) y ESADE. Entre sus publicaciones cabe destacar "Nationalisms" (Polity Press, 1996), "The Ethnicity Reader" (Polity, 1997), con J. Rex, "Nations without States" (Polity Press, 1999), "Governing European Diversity" (Sage, 2001), "The Conditions of Diversity in Multinational Democracies" (McGill), con A. Gagnon y F. Rocher, y con J. Hutchinson, "Understanding Nationalism" (Polity, 2001) y "History and National Destiny" (Blackwell, 2004). Es editora de "Nations and Nationalism". En la actualidad es lectora de Política en la Open University y disfruta de una Leverhulme Trust Fellowship.

Identifying my own leadership style
The goal of the session is to develop your own self-awareness to feel more empowered and secure as a leader. You will also define what leadership means to you and connect with the leader already within you. Through the "Situational Leadership Model" you will learn about your natural leadership tendencies, and how to adjust your leadership style to fit each team member's needs.
