Nace en Rubí (Barcelona) en 1964. Es licenciada en Psicología Social por la UAB (1988) y máster en Demografía del Centre d'Estudis Demogràfics (1989). Realiza la tesina en la École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales de París (1990). Entre 1989 y 1992 realiza una estancia en el Instituto Nacional de Estudios Demográficos de París y colabora con el Centro Europeo para el Control Epidemiológico del Sida, de la Organización Mundial de la Salud. En 2003 obtiene el doctorado de Estudios Urbanos en el Institut National de Recherche Scientifique (INRS)-Urbanisation, Culture et Société de la Université du Québec à Montréal. Actualmente trabaja en la Dirección General de Migraciones, Refugio y Antiracismo de la Generalitat de Catalunya.
