Jose Javier Gonzalez Ortiz

Born in Madrid in 1994. He completed his Bachelor in Telematics Engineering in 2016 from Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI.  He is repeatedly awarded the Excellence Scholarship granted by the County of Madrid for his academic performance. During the senior year of his studies he participated in an exchange program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. During this stay he completed two published research projects in Cryptography and Machine Learning. Due to his outstanding academic results and research contributions he received the Excellence Award in the Bachelor’s Degree. In 2017 he interned at CERN working in optimizing the access and storage of large scale genomic data. Currently his is a graduate student at the Massachussetts Institute of Technology in Boston. He works in the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory under the supervision of principal investigator John Guttag.
