Born in Barcelona in 1991, she studied Music Pedagogy at l’Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC), Psychology at Universitat de Barcelona (UB) and Master’s degree in Theory and Critique of Culture at Universidad Carlos III (UC3M). She is currently doing a PhD in the Humanities Department of UC3M as a La Caixa INPhINIT Fellow. Her work and research are a crossover between the performing arts, contemporary music theatre and critical pedagogy. She works at the intersection between childhood and instrumental theatre, focusing on the essential role of sound in a drama. She is also interested in explore the rules, perceptions, spaces and subjectivities that children create when they engage with theatre as creators, actors or audience members.   www.cristinacubells.com
