Dr. Oriol Solà-Morales, MD (Internal Medicine), earned an MSc in “Health Policy Planning and Financing” from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). He holds a diploma on Team Management from Universitat Ramon Llull (URL). Her recently got his PhD with the tesis ‘HTA as a framework for translation and valuation of innovation’. He has held managing positions in healthcare planning and has been CAHTA’s Director from 2007 to 2011. He’s been involved in Venture Capital start-ups as SabirMedical’s Medical & Market Access director, and as a founding partner of HITT in advising Venture Capital firms, Business Angels and Start-up companies in seed and late stage investments, research development, market access and HTA strategies. He is the director of the IISPV (Pere Virgili Research Institute), a Foundation that manages research from two teaching hospitals, a school of medicine and a mental health provider.
